Many patients seek dermatologic care for moles or unusual growths and Dr. Harkaway has particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of both benign and cancerous skin lesions.

All of our new patients are initially encouraged to undergo a complete skin examination by Dr. Harkaway to make sure that any skin lesions on their bodies are benign.

Skin surgery is routinely performed in our office under local anesthesia for both benign and cancerous skin lesions. While successful surgical treatment is our primary concern, we proceed with particular attention to the aesthetic result as well. Dr. Harkaway is extremely skilled at ensuring the best possible cosmetic outcome of such procedures.

In addition to medical and surgical dermatology, Dr. Harkaway participates in a number of clinical research trials, evaluating the latest medication for various skin conditions.
