Late Arrival Policy

If a patient arrives for a scheduled appointment 15 minutes late or later, it is at the discretion of the physician to see the patient or to ask the patient to reschedule. If it is determined that the physician will see the patient, the patient arriving late may have to wait until an appropriate opening is available.


No Show Policy

If a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment, he/she is considered a no show. It is the policy of Karen S. Harkaway, MD LLC to inform the patient of the missed appointment. If a patient frequently misses appointments, and does not contact us in advance to cancel the appointment, it is at the discretion of the physician to discharge the patient from the practice.


Prescription Refills & Renewals Policy
Prescription refills may be requested over the phone by you or your pharmacist. Your prescription will be called into the pharmacy within two business days. Please note that we cannot renew prescriptions that are older than 12 months
.
